Dust Control/Soil Stabilization Petroleum-based dust suppressants and synthetic fluid derivatives are normally made from crude oil. However, Soilworks has recently introduced cutting-edge technology to produce its Durasoil syn- thetic dust control fluid from natural gas. The synthetic fluid properties control dust on a micron level in the most extreme and intense-use situations by "wetting out" any soil or aggregate to create a long-term, re-workable and self-healing solution. It is the first non-corrosive, water-insoluble dust control product to be certified for its environmental efficacy and verified for superior quality in Canada. www.soilworks.com Distributed Control Systems Distributed control systems (DCS) bring all the disparate subsystems in a mine or plant together for the operations team; however, integrating multiple data sources in process automation projects is tradi- tionally costly and time consuming. DeltaV v13 delivers all new technologies to bring those sources together for easy operator access and use. These technologies include an Ethernet I/O card (EIOC) for added flex- ibility and capacity for integrating Ethernet-based sub- systems and devices, including a direct interface with smart motor control cen- ters and substations. w w w . e m e r s o n p r o - cess.com/deltav/ Grease Joint Rejuvenator Cleaning a grease fitting is a difficult and tedious task. The Grease Joint Rejuvenator lets a technician unclog joints in just a few seconds, without having to remove the fit- ting, and/or disassemble the joint to prop- erly grease it. By forcing light oil into the joint, the tool flushes out old hardened grease and allows the new grease to be pushed through. The Professional model comes with the Professional Model Grease Joint Rejuvenator, 5-in. flex hose for hard- to-reach fittings, and an extra coupler. A pocket model works the same as the pro- fessional model, but is small and especial- ly handy for small equipment. www.ipatools.com Tool Control System The PROTOid rfidDrawer is designed specifically to create tool accountability with users, giving them total control over their entire toolbox. The system is an RFID-enabled mobile tool chest, with plug-and-play functionality for rapid deployment. The unit comes complete with 215 PROTOid industrial hand tools embedded with RFID chips, and 15 employee badges. To remove a tool, an authorized user simply self-authenticates with their badge and is given access to the cabinet. Inside the cabinet, the PROTOid tools are held in organized precision cut foam inserts. Once the user removes the neces- sary tool and closes the drawer, the system automatically records the transaction and shows what tools were removed, and who is now responsible for the tool. Upon returning the tool, the system again updates automatically to show the tool is now back in its place. Total tool account- ability has never been easier. www.protoindustrial.com p r o d u c t n e w s c o n t i n u e d February 2015 www.coalage.com 59
