combustion furnace, improved IR cell design, and a robust, rugged design make the 832 a valuable resource for any labora- tory needing fast and accurate analysis of sulfur and/or carbon in organic materials. www.leco.com Surveillance Cameras The Flexidome IP 4000 and Flexidome IP 5000 cameras offer an excellent price-per- formance ratio and again raise the bar and set new standards in image quality, ease of installation and data management. All FLEXIDOME IP cameras are ideal for every- day video surveillance situations, including overland conveyor systems and plant machinery. The indoor 4000 HD model offers 720 p resolution and the outdoor 5000 IR model offers five megapixel resolution, Automatic Varifocal (AVF) and integrated infrared illumination. www.bosch.com Flat Panel Screens for Industrial Environments A set of 19-in. widescreen Flat Panels and Panel PCs with all-round IP65 protection are the latest addition to the Siemens glass-front portfolio. Fitted with a rugged aluminum enclosure, the new devices are designed especially for use at the machine level in harsh industrial environments and can be mounted either from the top or the bottom on a stand or supporting arm system. Simatic IFP1900 PRO Flat Panels and Simatic IPC477D PRO Panel PCs have crys- tal-clear, scratchproof, 100% glass fronts that are highly resistant to chemicals. Highlights include a special industrial anti- glare surface, excellent legibility even at large viewing angles thanks to the high image resolution and brightness, and the automatic detection of inadvertent touch- ing or operation, for example, caused by catching the screen with the ball of the hand or the buildup of dirt on the panel surface. Projected-capacitive touch technology (PCT) enables single and multitouch or ges- ture-based operation, even when wearing thin protective gloves, and images can be panned, zoomed, or hidden components shown both intuitively and quickly. www.siemens.com/ip65-hmi-devices Docking Station for Methanometers The DSX Docking Station provides three operating modes: standalone, cloud-con- nected (DSXi) and local server (DSX-L). The DSX Standalone is an out-of-the-box solu- tion that requires no network configuration or support. It provides easy bump testing and calibration of instruments, automated record keeping, and automated instrument wake-up and instrument battery charging. With the use of a DSXi activation key, the DSX Standalone becomes a cloud-connect- ed, fully automated instrument mainte- nance station. There is no need to send anything back for activation — all upgrades are easily performed in the field. The DSXi is a cloud-connected record storage, fleet management, and automated maintenance and notification station. It provides customers with the ability to man- age gas detectors, access exposure and maintenance reports, see the status of each calibration gas cylinder across the facility, and schedule equipment updates from any- where on any Web-enabled PC or mobile device. The DSXi provides an optional auto- matic calibration gas replenishment pro- gram, eliminating the need to keep up with gas cylinder status. In local server mode, the DSX offers the option to automatically store data from all docking stations behind the local firewall, addressing network and data storage restrictions and preferences. www.indsci.com/dsx Proximity Sensors The P800 Proxswitch sensors are now available in two versions (P8003V10C & P8004V10C) with solid-state relays specifi- cally designed for speed monitoring appli- cations requiring a pulse output up to 120 VAC/VDC for PLC integrations. The sen- sors can also be used to detect shaft, gate or slide position as well as object pres- ence. The sensors are fully encapsulated in a polycarbonate body that is corrosion and abrasion resistant, dust-tight and waterproof (IP67). The P800 is CSA class II division 1 groups E, F & G approved for hazardous dust environments. No contact is made between the sensor and the object being monitored. www.go4b.com/usa p r o d u c t n e w s c o n t i n u e d July 2015 www.coalage.com 59
