Superior Expands Relationship With Belt Tech Superior Industries recently announced that Belt Tech Industrial has been named a full line dealer of its growing group of bulk process- ing and handling equipment. "This expanded partnership with Superior allows us to grow our business in a way that will ultimately benefit our customer base," said Belt Tech CEO, Jordan Russell. "Material producers can expect the same reliable, high-quality customer service that Belt Tech is known for, but we can now support their processing and handling equipment needs as well. It's great to be able to pro- vide that added value." In addition to their home in Washington, Indiana, Belt Tech operates from service locations in Illinois and Kentucky. NIOSH Approves Spirometer for Respiratory Checks The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has approved the Benson Medical Instruments CCS-200 Plus Spirometer for the Coal Workers' Health Surveillance Pro- gram (CWHSP). The CWHSP testing of U.S coal miners includes respiratory health screening through questionnaires, spirometry testing and chest radiology when they enter the coal mining workforce and periodically throughout their tenure. NIOSH oversees standards for spirometry testing of coal workers. NIOSH requires that electronic spi- rometry data files include both flow- volume and volume-time graphs for each forced expiratory maneuver. In ad- dition, spirometry test result data must be transferable from testing facilities and clinics to NIOSH. The CCS-200 Plus Spirometer meets the NIOSH established standards and provides further benefits such as advanced reporting and analysis and multi-year record keeping for each subject. The CCS-200 Plus ultrasonic technology and "U-Tube" mouthpiece with no-touch ejection provide for hygiene by avoiding contamination. To help occupational health professionals meet NIOSH re- quirements for coal worker health questionnaires, a subject read- iness interview is built into the CCF-200 Plus software. The readi- ness interview assists the occupational health testing professional in ascertaining whether the coal miner should be tested that par- ticular day and to ensure consistency of testing. The interview re- sults are saved with the subject's spirogram for easy access later. sales@schurcoslurry.com www.schurcoslurry.com (904)356-6840 Providing Quality Products Since 1975 The CCS-200 has a USB connection.
