Partnership on Pipeline Transport Solutions Active Minerals International (AMI) and OSD Pty Ltd. of Australia entered a binding agreement to offer the hydro transportation of lump coal and magnetite slurry via pipe- line. The companies reported the solution offering could reduce OPEX, CAPEX and en- vironmental impact, compared to tradition- al transportation solutions. The partnership allows jointly sharing intellectual property and pairing OSD's pipeline expertise with AMI's innovative low dose additive, Acti-Gel 208. The agreement covers Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Acquisition Creates Drone Solution Giant Japan's Terra Drone Ltd. acquired a ma- jority stake in the leading European drone service provider Skeye. Headquartered in the Netherlands and with offices in Britain and Belgium, Skeye, an aerial survey and inspection company, will become the Eu- ropean headquarters of Terra Drone. With the acquisition, Terra Drone became one of the world's largest drone service com- panies, employing more than 250 person- nel and operating on every continent. BKT Plans USA Plant Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) announced the construction of a sixth production site, to be located in the United States. The planned location for the site was undetermined at the time the company's board of directors approved the roughly $100 million project at the end of October. The project will be executed by a subsidiary of the company established for the purpose. Target markets are both the replacement market and OEMs in the states, the company reported. The re- maining tire demand will come from India. The site will be the company's first manu- facturing site outside of India. New Website for Conveyor Solutions Converge Engineering announced its new website, ConvergeBelting.com, which, the company reported, provides new and existing customers with a comprehensive resource for replacement conveyor belting and accessories. The site provides infor- mation on conveyor accessories, scales, sensors, control panels, safety upgrades, pulleys, take-up frames, bearings, idlers and power transmission parts. Partnership for Digital Twin Solution Atos, supplier of digital transformation solutions, and Bentley Systems, supplier of comprehensive software solutions for infrastructure construction, announced a strategic partnership through which they will offer a complete cloud-based digital twin solution. The solution is expected to enable immersive visibility, real-time monitoring, performance analysis, re- mote control, and operational training, the companies reported. Bentley and Atos have previously worked together on sever- al manufacturing client projects. The part- nership was initiated through the Atos and Siemens Global Strategic Alliance, which effectively introduced the companies.
