24 www.coalage.com April 2019 longwall usa 2019 preview continued will find highly specialized state-of- the-art equipment and the 21st-cen- tury technology necessary to manu- facture and provide superior products. One of the many expertise of Swanson is remanufacturing and repair services for longwall mining equipment. Swan- son provides advanced remanufactur- ing and repair services for longwall, continuous, underground and surface mining industries with an economical alternative to purchasing new equip- ment. At Longwall 2019, Swanson will feature a complete longwall shield rebuild showcasing multiple tech- niques and custom components; min- ing filtration systems; high-pressure, high-volume pumps; high-pressure pipe and connectors; and more. Syntron Material Handling Syntron Material Handling will feature a mine-duty triple 250HP VFD Skid and rigid-belt structure. The VFD Skid, designed for harsh environments, has safety and performance features such as emergency stop circuit, isolated AC and VFD DC-power indicator lights, ethernet communication, and spe- cial air-to-air heat exchanger design via internal centrifugal blowers. The Rigid Belt Structure is a heavy-duty conveyor structure designed to handle large volumes of tonnage while main- taining flexibility and short move-up times. Boasting load ratings that ex- ceed CEMA requirements, idlers are available in CEMA D, E and F series. Link-Belt idler structure is protected from corrosion by a polymetric pow- der coating that provides resistance to abrasive elements with the additional option of a Bitumastic finish that can provide further corrosion resistance in damp environments. System Controls Inc. System Control will feature the un- derground modular design belt con- veyor controls that includes one Control Module and one Power Mod- ule. The Control Module is used to control a head or booster-conveyor terminal group that consists of one to four motors with ancillary equip- ment. This Control Module includes a programmable logic controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminal. The Single 500 HP AC Power Module controls a conveyor drive mo- tor and includes a variable frequency drive (VFD) and associated motor protection equipment. This control system can operate independently or in conjunction with other SCI equip- ment to provide a robust and de- pendable belt conveyor system. The HMI offers machine status, alarms, controls, and the ability to configure the equipment and features for the current conveyor application. Target Drilling Inc. Target Drilling Inc. (TDI) is a unique drilling company that has been in business since 1995 with headquarters located in southwestern Pennsylvania providing contract directional-drilling services to drill horizontal boreholes from within underground coal mines. TDI has developed surface to in-seam horizontal directional drilling capabil- ities to directionally drill surface CBM wells with coal laterals to greater than 5,000 feet while applying their in-mine coal directional drilling procedures developed to directionally drill hori- zontal degasification boreholes. Tenex/Geosynthetic Solutions Tenax Corp. is an international com- pany established more than 65 years ago with manufacturing in the Unites States, Europe and China. For more than 20 years, Tenax Corp. has man- ufactured and supplied Biaxial Geog- rids, Geonets and Geocomposites to the mining industry. Tenax manufac- tures an extensive line of products, in- cluding Tenax Mining Grids, LBO Biax- ial Geogrids, and drainage structures used in a variety of mining applica- tions. Tenax Mining grids are integral- ly formed biaxial geogrids composed of a flame retardant polypropylene, which is lightweight, strong and du- rable. The mining grids are designed to outperform conventional metal reinforcement systems, while reduc- ing overall project costs. The technical team has the ability and expertise to help design the next project. Tiefenbach North America Tiefenbach North America is a pre- mier supplier of high-quality hydrau- lic controls while providing premium service and value to its customers in the mining, oil/gas, and industrial markets. Products include hydraulic hoses, filters, valves, electric-shield controls, sensors, gauges, and other hydraulic accessories. Services in- clude repair of the above products, in field service and installation, and of- fers around the clock availability with three work shifts and also available for weekend and holiday callouts.
