Famur Announces 2 Major Longwall Deals Officials at Polish equipment manufacturer Famur have announced contracts with two of the country's top coal producers. FAMUR will deliver longwall systems to the Knurow-Szczyglowice mine, owned by Kompania Weglowa, and 122 roof support to the Wujek mine, owned by Katowicki Holding Weglowy. The deliveries are worth $22.3 million and $28.8 million, respectively. Knurow-Szczyglowice's deliverables include a shearer, 167 powered roof supports, an AFC, crawler, crusher, automatic pump station and an electrical belt weigh. The equipment will operate in the Ruch Szczygłowice region. The roof supports for Katowicki, meanwhile, are compatible with 750-mm wide AFC and with longwall shearers with drum webs of 0.8 m and an Eicotrack haulage system.
