July/August 2017 www.coalage.com 43 suppliers news continued GE's modernization and full plant re- furbishment will include replacing five Za- mech high-pressure, intermediate-pres- sure and low-pressure steam turbines and five Dolmel generators with air-cooled generators. GE will also upgrade five Ra- fako boilers, modernize five flue-gas de- sulfurization and electrostatic precipita- tor systems, as well as the electrical and mechanical balance of the plant, and will install a distributed control system. The project with Yeniköy Kemerköy Elektrik is the latest example of GE's com- mitment to modernizing coal-fired power plants and generation equipment around the globe. GE's upgrade solutions will ex- tend the lifetime of the power equipment by up to 20 years and significantly lower emissions at the two power plants to meet the country's emission limits, including: • A decrease in NOx emissions to a level less than 200 mg/Nm 3 (600 mg/Nm 3 today). • A reduction in particulate matter emis- sions to a level less than 40 mg/Nm 3 (50 mg/Nm 3 today). • A curtailment in SOx emissions to a level less than 320 mg/Nm 3 (1000 mg/ Nm 3 today). GE's Powering Efficiency CoE brings together cross-business expertise and technologies in its energy businesses to apply a total plant hardware and software solution approach to boost the efficiency of the world's new and existing coal-fired power plants and to significantly reduce their emissions. TMT Software Saves Time and More Accurately Tracks Labor Costs When Summit Materials found itself faced with an "asset maintenance challenge," it turned to TMW Systems for a solution. Operating from 57 maintenance facilities across North America, the aggregate pro- ducer implemented the TMT Fleet Main- tenance management solution to central- ize and streamline in-house maintenance and repair operations. For the past year, the company also has used the TMT mo- bility app, Mobile Mechanic Workstation, at 35 of those locations to enable real-time management of remote service activity. "We have remote mechanics with service trucks and field mechanics that work on-site," said Michael Coxie, busi- ness systems analyst at Summit Materials. "With the Mobile Mechanic Workstation, we can load repair order and asset data on tablets and our mechanics working re- motely can track labor and parts usage in real time, open new repair orders and for- ward accurate information to TMT Fleet Maintenance. "In locations where there is no cell service or Internet access, the mobile app stores the data until it can be synced with the software at one of our maintenance fa- cilities," he added. One of the reasons Summit Materi- als chose TMT Fleet Maintenance, Coxie explained, was TMW's development of a mobile app for remote mechanics. "Hav- ing access to data off-site and the ability to automatically import information from remote service and repair activity were among the criteria we established when we started looking into maintenance software," he related. "The Mobile Mechanic Worksta- tion meets those needs very effectively." The system leverages the latest mobile technology and works seamlessly with TMT Fleet Maintenance software. The mobile app enables remote access to information, accurately capturing and storing complete, date- and time-stamped data in real time, and eliminates the need for error-prone manual data entry that relies on a mechan- ic's memory or handwritten notes. • Wet Drum Separators (LIMS & MIMS) • WHIMS • Magnetic Mill Liners • Trunnion Magnets • Suspended Magnets • Metal Detectors • Vibratory Feeders • Flotation Column Systems & Coarse Flotation Cells • Mini-Pilot Plants & Flotation Test Equipment • Gas Sparging Systems • Slurry Distributors • Test-Work & Services 814-835-6000 • Eriez.com 604-952-2300 • EriezFlotation.com Advanced Separation Technologies The TMT mobility app captures data in real time.
